How to become a taxi entrepreneur under the new system

The entrepreneur exam is not part of the training organisation's package — it is taken at a service point of Traficom's service provider. A passed exam is one of the requirements for the taxi operator licence (taksiliikennelupa).

Please note: not everyone applying for a taxi operating licence necessarily needs to complete the new entrepreneur training and examination. Certain qualifications obtained under previous taxi legislation may already satisfy the professional competence requirement. If you have previously held a taxi operating licence or obtained a recognised taxi entrepreneur qualification, check your status with Traficom before registering. Taking the new entrepreneur examination itself, however, always requires the 21-hour entrepreneur training.

1. Complete the 21 h entrepreneur training at A+In person in Helsinki and/or online. Full attendance is required.
2. A+ reports your completed training to TraficomThe approved training completion is recorded in the transport register.
3. Book the entrepreneur examAt a service point of Traficom's service provider. The exam is booked and paid for separately.
4. Take the entrepreneur exam50 questions, 120 minutes, in Finnish or Swedish. 38 correct answers are required to pass.
